Jennifer's Clouds
Jennifer was interested in having art for her corporate law office. Jennifer currently had a framed print of Monet's "Water lilies" on her wall and noted that she liked the atmosphere produced from that painting.

Laurel suggested using the images of a cloud mural she painted except making it into an installation piece. By splitting the cloud image over several canvases, it opens painting space to allow the painting to expand over the wall while avoiding using an overwhelming single massive canvas. |

The multiple canvases also encourage the eye to roam over the image and capture the feeling of cloud drifting by as they break apart and reform by an unseen wind.
Laurel painted each canvas over the edges so that the final installation of canvases would not require frames. The brush work is loose and airy in keeping with Monet's water lily style. |

The painting is modern and stylistic which help create an appropriate environment for Jennifer's law office. |
