Lindsay stated she wanted a polar bear on her wall since her favorite stuffed animal is a polar bear named Blueberry. Due to the unusual octagon shape of her room, the mural expanded into a circular panorama of wildlife. The theme compliments the local environment of the San Bernardino Mountains where Big Bear Lake is located.

There are two bear portraits near the door leading to the bedroom. Live bears are not frequently seen in Big Bear Lake, but do reside in the mountains.
